E5 QuiK-Lab - Advanced Thermal Analysis for Cast Iron

A QuiK-Cup^® is a disposable measurement test cup that is securely attached to the contact block of the QuiK-Cup^® holder. The system measures the cooling attributes of the molten iron poured into the QuiKCup^®. Various types of QuiK-Cups^® are available depending on measurement type and iron grade. They all play their part in the accurate, consistent, and quick measurement results that characterise the QuiK-Lab E^® system.

Thermal analysis is a quick, simple, reliable, and lowcost method for shop floor control of molten iron. Based on the measurement of the temperatures at which the thermal arrests occur in the cooling curve of a solidifying iron sample, it is possible to accurately determine %CEL, %C, and %Si.
